เดินรณรงค์เพื่อผู้หญิงทำงาน
วันสตรีสากล 8 มีนาคม 2551
ในปี 2451 มีผู้หญิง15,000 คนเดินขบวนตามท้องถนนที่นิวยอร์คเพื่อเรียกร้องชั่วโมงการทำงานที่น้อยลง ค่าจ้างที่มากขึ้นและสิทธิในการออกเสียงเลือกตั้ง หนึ่งร้อยปีผ่านมา ผู้หญิงยังคงประสบปัญหาสภาพการทำงานและความเป็นอยุ่ที่ย่ำแย่และไม่ปลอดภัยและยังคงต้องเดินรณรงค์เพื่อสิทธิของเรา
เราเป็นผู้หญิงทำงานเกษตร คลีนิกชุมนุม งานก่อสร้าง สถานบันเทิง โรงงาน คลีนิกให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านกฎหมาย ทำงานในบ้านของนายจ้างหรือบ้านของเราเอง เราเป็นผู้หญิงในพื้นที่ เราเป็นผู้หญิงที่มาจากประเทศอื่นหรือข้ามชาติแดนมา เราเป็นผู้หญิงทำงานและวันนี้เราเดินเพื่อผู้หญิงทำงาน วันนี้เราเดินผู้หญิงจะได้ค่าแรงมากขึ้น วันนี้เราเดินเพื่อความมั่นคงทางสังคมสำหรับผู้หญิงทุกคน วันนี่เราเดินเพื่อสภาพการทำงานที่ปลอดภัยเพื่อแรงงานหญิงทุกคน
ลองดูที่ไปไซด์ก่อสร้างในตึกสูงในเชียงใหม่ซึ่งเป็นที่ทำงานของเราที่ไม่มีอุปกรณ์ใดๆในการป้องกันความปลอดภัย ไซด์งานเหล่านี้ไม่ปลอดภัย เราต้องการไซด์งานที่ปลอดภัย
เราทำงานในนิคมอุตสาหกรรมในลำพูน โรงงานผลิตชิ้นส่วนอิเลคโทรนิค เราเสี่ยงต่อสารตะกั่ว เราต้องการสิทธิในการรวมตัวเจรจาต่อรองเพื่อป้องกันโรคต่างๆที่เกิดขึ้นจากการทำงาน
เราทำงานเหมือนกับที่ผู้หญิงอื่นๆทำงาน แต่เราไม่ได้รับการตระหนักหรือยอมรับการทำงานของเราเพราะว่าเราทำงานเป็นพนักงานบริการ เราต้องการการยอมรับว่าเราเป็นแรงงานเดี๋ยวนี้
พี่น้องหญิงที่มาจากพม่าของเราทำงานในโรงงานการ์เม้นท์ที่ชายแดน พวกเธอได้รับค่าจ้างน้อยกว่าค่าจ้าแรงงานขั้นต่ำตามกฎหมาย เพื่อที่จะได้รับค่าจ้างที่ดำรงชีพได้ พวกเธอต้องทำงานล่วงเวลาทุกคืน เราเรียกร้องค่าแรงไม่น้อยกว่าค่าจ้างแรงงานขั้นต่ำสำหรับแรงงานทุกคน
เราทำงานในสวนผลไม้และฟาร์มดอกไม้ในพื้นที่ทั่วเชียงใหม่ เรามาจากภูเขาของประเทศไทย ลาวและพม่า เราต้องทำงานพ่นสารเคมีซึ่งเรารู้ว่าเป็นอันตรายต่อสุขภาพของเรา เราต้องการอุปกรณ์เสื้อผ้าป้องกันที่เหมาะสมกับการทำงานของเรา
เราทำงานในบ้านของนายจ้างเป็นแรงงานทำงานในบ้าน งานของเราไม่ได้รับการคุ้มครองภายใต้กฎหมาย สิทธิของเราขึ้นอยู่กับนายจ้าง แต่บางอย่างก็ยุติธรรมบางอย่างซึ่งไม่ยุติธรรมเลย เราต้องการสิทธิของเราคุ้มครองภายใต้กฎหมาย เราต้องการวันหยุดอย่างน้อยอาทิตย์ละหนึ่งวันโดยได้รับค่าจ้าง

WALKING FOR WORKING WOMEN
In 1908, 15,000 women marched through the streets of New York demanding shorter hours, better pay and voting rights. A hundred years later, women still suffer unfair and unsafe working conditions and still we march for our rights.
We are women working in agriculture, community clinics, construction, entertainment places, factories, legal aid clinics, private households and in our own homes. We are local women, we are women from across the country and across the borders. We are working women and today we are walking for all working women. Today we walk for better pay for women! Today we walk for social security for all working women! Today we walk for safe working conditions for all working women.
Take a look at the constructions sites where we work, perched high above Chiang Mai with nothing to protect our safety! These sites are not safe. We need safe working conditions!
We work in the industrial estate in Lampoon, manufacturing electronic products. We are exposed to lead poisoning. We need the right to collective bargaining to improve the protection against such exposure.
We work like other women work, but we get no recognition or acceptance of our work because we work as sex workers. We want recognition as workers now.
Our Burmese sisters work in garment factories on the border. They are paid much less than the legal minimum wage. To get a living wage, they must work overtime every night! We demand not less than the minimum wage for all workers!
We work in the fruit and flower farms around Chiang Mai. We come from the mountains of Thailand, Lao and Burma. We have to spray pesticides which we know are dangerous to our health. We need proper protective clothing!
We work in private households as domestic workers. Our work is not protected by the labour laws. We are dependent on our employers, but some are fair and some are not fair at all. We need rights under the law. We need one day paid leave a week!
TODAY IS INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY. WE CANNOT WAIT ANOTHER HUNDRED YEARS FOR BETTER PAY AND WORKING CONDITIONS, THE CHANGE MUST COME TODAY!

“เดินเพื่อนผู้หญิงทำงาน !”
วันที 8 มีนาคม ปี คศ 1908 ผู้หญิงเดินขบวนผ่านเมืองนิวยอร์คเรียกร้องชั่วโมงทำงานที่น้อยลง ค่าจ้างที่ดีขึ้นและสิทธิในการไปใช้สิทธิเลือกตั้ง กว่าหนึ่งร้อยปีจากวันนั้นและเรายังคง “เดินเพื่อนผู้หญิงทำงาน !”
งานที่ผู้หญิงทำยังถูกเรียกว่างานไร้ทักษะ ยังคงไม่ได้รับการตระหนักว่าเป็นการทำงาน! แรงงานที่ทำงานบ้าน แรงงานไทยหรือแรงงานข้ามชาติไม่ได้รับการคุ้มครองตามกฎหมายแรงานนอกจากนั้นยังให้อำนาจนายจ้างในการมีอำนาจควบคุมสภาวะการทำงานของแรงงานทำงานบ้าน ผู้หญิงที่ทำงานในอุตสาหกรรมก่อสร้างมักจะได้รับค่าจ้างน้อยกว่าผู้ชาย โดยผู้หญิงมักจะถูกบอกว่าพวกเธอมีทักษะหรือแข็งแรงน้อยกว่าผู้ชาย แต่เราเองดูความจริงได้ครั้งหน้าเวลาที่เราผ่านไปไซด์ก่อสร้าง !
วันเสาร์ ที่ 8 มีนาคม พศ 2551 ณ สะพานนวรัฐ เชียงใหม่เวลา 17.45 น และเวลา 18.00 นเริ่มที่จะเดิน “เพื่อผู้หญิงทำงาน “ ตอนท้ายของการเดิน (สถานที่จะมีการยืนยันอักครั้งหนึ่ง)จะมีการเล่นเกมส์ “วีเกมส์”
ลองใช้มือในการล้างจาน, สร้างกำแพง, เย็บผ้า แข่งขันทำงานแต่ละอย่างและทำงานทั้งหมดกับความเร็วและเวลาและเพื่อพิสูจน์ว่างานเหล่านี้เป็นงานที่ใช้ทักษะสูง พร้อมทั้งมีการร้องเพลง การปราศัยและความสนุกสนานอีกมาก รขอเชิญทุกท่านร่วมกิจกรรมกับเราในวันที่ 8 มีนาคม
การจัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกิจกรรมประจำปีที่เราจัดทุกปีเนื่องในวันสตรีสากลโดยเครือข่ายขององค์กรเอกชน แรงงานหยิงและชุมชนท้องถิ่น

Women’s work is still called unskilled, is still not considered work! Domestic workers, Thai and migrant, are not protected by the Labour Laws thus giving employers total control over their working conditions. Women who work in the construction industry are nearly always paid less than men. They are told that men have more skills and/or strength. But take a look next time you go past the construction site!
On Saturday March 8th 2008, in Chiang Mai we invite you all to join a march to call for better working conditions and more respect for women’s work!
Come and gather at Nariwat Bridge, Chiang Mai at 5.45pm to start “walking for working women” at 6pm. At the end of the march (location yet to be confirmed), there will be the “WE Games”. Try your hand at washing dishes, building a wall, sewing….all in a race against time and to prove, once and for all, that we are highly skilled in our work! Songs, speeches and more fun will follow! Join us on March 8th!

ปีนี้ในวันสตรีสากล จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เราจะจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อเชิดชูผู้หญิงทำงานทุกคน หลังจากการเดินขบวนรณรงค์ประจำปี เพื่อส่งเสริมสาระการเฉลิมฉลองของปีนี้ เราจะจักการแข่งขันวีเกมส์ แต่ละทีมจะแข่งกันในการผลัดกันล้างจาน นับเงิน ย้ายอิฐ เย็บผ้า เต้น และลอบบี้เพิ่อหาเสียงเลือกตั้ง
แต่ละองค์หรือกลุ่มสามารถส่งตัสแทนของท่านได้ หนึ่งทีมประกอบด้วยผู้หญิงหกคน อุปกรณ์ต่างๆผู้จัดจะเตรียมให้และไม่จ่ายค่าใช้จ่ายใดในการสมัคร
พาเพื่อนๆมาส่งเสียงเชียร์ในวันแข่งขันได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่ท่านสามารถพามาได้!!!

ปีนี้ในวันสตรีสากล จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เราจะจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อเชิดชูผู้หญิงทำงานทุกคน หลังจากการเดินขบวนรณรงค์ประจำปี เพื่อส่งเสริมสาระการเฉลิมฉลองของปีนี้ เราจะจักการแข่งขันวีเกมส์ แต่ละทีมจะแข่งกันในการผลัดกันล้างจาน นับเงิน ย้ายอิฐ เย็บผ้า เต้น และลอบบี้เพิ่อหาเสียงเลือกตั้ง
แต่ละองค์หรือกลุ่มสามารถส่งตัสแทนของท่านได้ หนึ่งทีมประกอบด้วยผู้หญิงหกคน อุปกรณ์ต่างๆผู้จัดจะเตรียมให้และไม่จ่ายค่าใช้จ่ายใดในการสมัคร
พาเพื่อนๆมาส่งเสียงเชียร์ในวันแข่งขันได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่ท่านสามารถพามาได้!!!

International Women’s Day …. 8th March 2008
Walking for Working Women
PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDER NOW!
This year on International Women’s Day Chiang Mai, we will honor working women. Following our annual march, in keeping with the theme, we will host the WE games. Teams will compete against each other in a relay of washing dishes; counting money; moving bricks; sewing; dancing and lobbying for votes.
Each organization or group may nominate one team of six women. All equipment is provided and no joining fee.
Bring plenty of people along to cheer your team as well!
